CarpenTro · carpet & rug specialists
We lift the grit your vacuum leaves behind, wash rugs by hand without stripping their colour, and fit new carpet so the seams disappear. One team, one written quote, and a floor you can walk on barefoot again.
Wool, nylon, polyester, silk-blend or jute — we test before we treat, so the method suits the carpet.
Price agreed before work starts. No per-stain surprises, no add-ons slipped in on the day.
Low-residue, pH-balanced solutions that rinse clean and leave no sticky film to attract dirt.
If a treated area isn't right within seven days, we come back and redo it at no charge.
Why carpets look tired
Fine sand and dust sink below the pile where an ordinary vacuum can’t reach. Every step grinds that grit against the fibres, which is why walkways turn grey and dull long before the carpet is actually worn. Spills add a sugary or oily layer that grabs even more dirt.
A proper clean reverses most of this. We loosen soil with a pre-spray matched to the fibre, agitate it out of the pile, then rinse and extract it with controlled heat and water. What’s left is the original colour, a softer pile and a carpet that stays clean for longer because there’s no residue left behind.
What we do
Whether it’s a bedroom carpet, a hand-knotted heirloom or three floors of office tiles, the approach is the same: understand the fibre, choose the gentlest method that works, and leave the space better than we found it.
01
Wall-to-wall carpet in homes and apartments — deep extraction, stain and odour treatment, quick-dry finishing.
02
Area rugs collected, dusted, immersion-washed by hand, dried flat and returned with fringes groomed.
03
Old carpet lifted and removed, subfloor prepared, new carpet and underlay measured, cut and fitted.
04
Offices, hotels, halls and clinics on scheduled maintenance plans, cleaned after hours.
The rug studio
Rugs carry far more dust than their thickness suggests. Before any water touches them we beat and vacuum them from the back to shake out the dry soil. Then we test every dye, wash the rug flat on a clean floor with a wool-safe shampoo, rinse until the water runs clear and dry it in moving air so it never sits damp.
Fringes are combed straight, loose bindings noted, and the rug comes back rolled pile-in and wrapped — ready to lay down.
A CarpenTro visit
STEP 1
Tell us the rooms, the carpet type and any problem spots. Photos help us quote accurately.
STEP 2
You receive a fixed price and a time window. Nothing starts until you approve it.
STEP 3
We move light furniture, cover skirting and doorframes, and vacuum with a commercial upright.
STEP 4
Pre-spray, agitate, rinse and extract — or lift, prep and fit. We explain each step as we go.
STEP 5
We check every room with you, groom the pile and leave drying or care advice in writing.
Floor carpet change
Some carpets are past saving — crushed pile on the stairs, backing that has started to crumble, or water damage that has reached the underlay. In those cases we tell you straight, and show you options that suit the room and the way it’s used.
Our installers measure on site, draw a seam plan before anything is cut, lift and remove the old carpet and gripper, level the subfloor, then stretch the new carpet tight so it won’t ripple in a year.
For workplaces
Office carpet tiles, hotel corridors, prayer halls and auditoriums take hundreds of footsteps a day. We clean them on a schedule that suits your traffic — after hours or at weekends — so nobody works around us and the carpet lasts years longer.
Carpet care guide
Different fibres react differently to heat, moisture and chemicals. Here is what we look for — and what you can do between professional cleans.
Natural, resilient and absorbent. Wool hides soil well but can brown or shrink if it is over-wetted or cleaned with high-alkaline products. We use wool-safe detergents, moderate heat and fast drying.
At home: blot spills immediately with a white cloth; never rub. Vacuum twice a week in walkways.
Durable synthetics found in most modern homes. They respond well to hot-water extraction, but polyester attracts oily soil, so a thorough pre-spray matters more than pressure.
At home: rotate furniture slightly every few months so traffic lanes don’t flatten in one place.
Beautiful, delicate and easily distorted. Viscose (art silk) can yellow and lose its sheen if it gets too wet. These rugs are cleaned in our studio with minimal moisture and dried under control.
At home: keep them out of hallways and away from pet traffic.
Plant fibres that stain from water itself. We clean them with dry-compound or very low-moisture methods to avoid brown rings and shrinkage.
At home: use a dry absorbent powder on spills rather than water.
The workhorse of offices. Low-pile loop tiles are cleaned with encapsulation for regular maintenance and extraction for periodic deep cleans. Badly damaged tiles can be swapped individually.
At work: entrance mats catch most of the grit before it reaches the carpet.
“A clean carpet should feel softer, smell of nothing, and stay clean longer.”
That’s the standard we hold every job to — and the reason we never leave sticky detergent behind.
Questions we hear often
Can’t find your answer? Call or message us and a technician — not a call centre — will reply.
Most carpets are dry to walk on in two to four hours and fully dry within six, depending on airflow and humidity. We position fans where needed and leave you simple instructions.
No. We move chairs, side tables and other light items and put them back on protective tabs. Please clear small fragile objects and anything valuable beforehand.
Most everyday stains — tea, food, mud, pet accidents — come out. Some dyes, bleach marks and very old stains change the fibre itself. We test first and tell you honestly what to expect before we treat.
Yes. We use biodegradable, pH-balanced solutions and rinse thoroughly so nothing is left on the fibres. Children and pets can return once the carpet is dry.
Yes. We collect rugs, wash them in our studio and bring them back, usually within five to seven working days. Delicate or heavily soiled rugs may need longer.
