CarpenTro

About CarpenTro

We're the people who look under the rug — literally.

CarpenTro was built around a simple frustration: carpets were being cleaned quickly, not properly. Too much water, too much detergent, too little rinsing — and floors that looked dirty again within weeks. We set out to do it the slow, careful way, and to do it the same way every time.

Our story

A carpet company that started with a cleaning bucket

Our founders spent years repairing the damage done by rushed cleaning: wool carpets browned by harsh chemicals, rugs whose colours had bled into one another, underlay left soaking for days. Most of those problems had nothing to do with the carpet itself. They came from using one method for every fibre.

So CarpenTro began with a different rule — test first. Every job starts with identifying the fibre, the backing and the type of soil, because those three things decide the cleaning method, the temperature, the products and the drying plan.

Over time customers started asking a second question: “If this one can’t be saved, can you replace it?” That’s how installation became the third part of what we do. Today one team handles cleaning, rug washing and new carpet, which means the advice you get is honest. We have no reason to sell you a new carpet if a deep clean will do.

How we work

Six principles behind every visit

These aren’t slogans on a wall. They are the checks our technicians and installers run through on every job, whether it’s one rug or a whole office floor.

01

Test before we treat

Fibre, backing and dye-stability tests decide the method — not habit and not the clock.

02

Less water, more rinse

We use only as much moisture as the soil needs, then extract thoroughly so carpets dry fast and stay clean.

03

Quote in writing

The price, the scope and the time window are agreed before we start. If something changes on site, we ask first.

04

Protect the home

Corner guards, floor runners and furniture tabs go down before any equipment comes through the door.

05

Explain as we go

You’ll know what we’re doing and why — including what we can’t fix and the reasons.

06

Sign-off together

Every job ends with a walk-through. Nothing is finished until you’ve seen it and agree.

Equipment is serviced weekly so suction, heat and pressure stay consistent.

Dry soil comes out first — up to most of the dirt in a carpet is dry particulate.

Tools of the trade

Proper equipment, maintained properly

Our vans carry portable hot-water extraction units with adjustable heat and pressure, low-speed rotary machines for encapsulation, counter-rotating brushes for heavy traffic lanes, high-velocity air movers and moisture meters. For rugs we use a dedicated studio with a flat wash floor, clean-water rinse, a rug duster and controlled drying racks.

Every solution we use is chosen for the fibre in front of us. Wool gets wool-safe products. Synthetics get a pre-spray that breaks down oily soil. Delicate viscose gets almost no water at all. None of it leaves a sticky residue — which is why carpets we clean don’t re-soil quickly.
